When asked to speak, Pr. Laaker, expressed his thanks for the shared ministry. He said, “I have been privileged to serve with you and see the seed of faith grow in many from birth on up. Thank you for this honor today!”

Grace Lutheran Youth provided a wonderful look at the Easter story through the drama “Showdown at the Easter Corral” on Sunday, April 19. The youth acted out their parts with precision and passion. The morning worship was truly enhanced with their gifts.

Grace Lutheran was the welcome recipient of a visit from the Adult Choir from Rejoice Lutheran on Sunday, March 29. The choir’s selections focused on the Passion Story soon to be told in the Holy Week readings. The music was touching and captivating.

Grace Lutheran was honored with the presentation of the 2009 Art Palmer Micah 6:8 Justice Ministry Award. The award was presented at the 2009 Lutheran Legislative Day.
Grace Lutheran Church begins celebrating its 120 year in the Columbus Park neighborhood in April of 2009. The church is featured in the January 7, 2009 edition of the Destination Midtown Newsletter. Check it out!
